Garrison Calgary is the collective name given to all members of the Canadian forces who are located in the Calgary, Red Deer and Lethbridge area and are supported by ASU Calgary. Although we are located in the thriving metropolis of Calgary and have access to all the amenities and services that the city and the surrounding area has to offer, Garrison Calgary, in terms of military support services, is very much like a small and somewhat isolated satellite base.

The largest concentration of full-time military staff in Calgary is at the former Currie Barracks, which is the location of ASU Calgary and 41 Canadian Brigade Group Headquarters. |

There are numerous other small locations in Calgary which house various agencies and units, three of which are major locations housing Reserve units as their major tenant. Except for the Northeast Armoury, all the other major locations are located in the Southwest portion of the city core.
